Brief Profile

Beverley is a botanical artist and designer trained in graphic art and design; a selection of her silk-screen designs and fabrics are included in the Australian National Gallery and at RMIT University. Her flora designs have been used to adorn stationary, cards, calendars, and a postage stamp issued by Australia Post in the early 1990s.

In 1999 Beverley was presented with a Certificate of Commendation by the Society for Growing Australian Plants, Victoria, for promoting Australia Flora in her watercolours. In 2000 she was commissioned by Franklin Mint to create and paint a design for the Federation Flora Plate, featuring the six State floral emblems and the Australian emblem. Eight of her botanical paintings have been featured for the “Flower of the Month” in Your Garden magazine.

Beverley Graham is an exhibiting member of the Botanical Illustrators Group of the Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens. She lives and works in Melbourne and has a passion for Australian native plants. Beverley’s paintings for the Botany Foundation have allowed her to expand the boundaries of botanical art. Through this she hopes to encourage the protection of our unique and magnificent Australian flora so that it is protected for the enjoyment of future generations.
