The LEICA HPF allows the automatic cryofixation of cell suspensions and bulk specimens yielding 10-fold the vitrification depth compared with ambient pressure freezing methods. High pressure cryofixation is the perfect first step for all cryo preparation techniques e.g. cryo-sectioning, freeze substitution, freeze drying and freeze etching.
